The ANZ Hernia Society is the Premier Hernia Society in Australia and New Zealand, designed to provide a professional forum for all surgeons and related practitioners who have a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of the full range of Hernias and Abdominal Wall defects.
ANZ Hernia will provide collaborative events and activities to further knowledge in the field of hernia treatment. It will advocate on behalf of the Hernia Surgery community to government and other authorities.
The conference will be held at the Pullman on the Park from Friday, 31 October 2025 until Monday, 3rd November 2025.
There will be two cadaver labs (Novice & Advanced) at Melbourne University on Friday, 31 October 2025 with two Robotic Hernia Skills Courses (Novic & Advanced) at IMRA Surgical. A Trainees afternoon will be held on the afternoon on Friday 31st October.
The Conference is open to all RACS Fellows and Trainees with an interest in developments in the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of Hernias, from simple umbilical repairs to complex Abdominal Wall Repairs. Open, Laparoscopic and Robotic approaches will be covered.
Student, Resident and Fellow Registration is free. A fee for Cadaver lab and Robotic skills lab is required.
The Conference will be accredited for RACS CPD Points.
No, places at the Cadaver Lab and Robotic Skills lab are strictly limited and there is a cost involved. Delegates cannot enrol for these labs without Conference Registration, which is free for students, Residents & Trainees.
We three Robotic platforms present at the conference. The latest advances in AI will also be discussed.
