Australia’s and New Zealand’s Surgical Community will come together in Melbourne at the end of October 2025 for the premier regional Hernia Conference for 2025, ANZ Hernia’s “Global Insights, Local Impact: Transforming Hernia Surgery Together”. The Conference, open to all General Surgeons, Trainees, Surgical Assistants, students and interested parties will be held at the Pullman on the Park Melbourne from 31st October to 3rd November 2025. In an Australian first, due to the generosity of our Sponsors, Students, Residents and Trainees will be able to Register for the main conference at no cost. The conference will commence at the Melbourne University Anatomy Department on Friday 31st October with two hands-on practical teaching and cadaver workshops, aimed at Interested Surgeons and Trainees. The morning sessions will be aimed at novice and junior surgeons whilst the afternoon session will be for more advanced and experienced surgeons. Places are very limited and will be attributed on a first in, first served basis. Running concurrently with the Anatomy sessions will be a Robotic Skills Hernia lab at IMRA Surgical in North Melbourne. This is an incredible facility and participants will have the opportunity to use three different robotic platforms and the amazing IMRA Surgical hydrogel hernia models to polish up their skills. Again we will be running two sessions with the morning session aimed at novices and the afternoon aimed at more experienced users. On the afternoon of the 31st October Trainees will have a specially prepared afternoon tailored to their educational needs at the Pullman on the Park. The Conference proper will commence on Saturday 1st November at the Pullman on the Park for 3 days starting with a breakfast masterclass and ending with a conference dinner that night. Sunday 2nd November will commence with a Breakfast Masterclass, as will Monday 3rd November. On Tuesday 4 th November at the completion of the program we welcome everyone to join us at our event at the race that stops the world, the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington. This is a Premium ticketed event and the experience of a lifetime. Places are limited so get in quickly. Early Bird Pricing will end midnight 30 September 2025. All delegates must have a ticket to the Conference dinner on Saturday 1st November and the Breakfast masterclasses.
